California Kids Investment and Development Savings (CalKIDS) program, is a state-funded initiative that provides automatic scholarship accounts to eligible children in California to help them save for college or career training. It automatically creates a ScholarShare 529 account for eligible newborns and provides deposits to low-income, foster, and homeless youth in public schools.
